PROJECT NORTHFLEET SCHOOL FOR GIRLS
SAS ENERGY designed, installed and maintains one of the UK’s largest secondary school rooftop solar PV system.
The school will save more than £ 17,000 p.a. on its energy bill as 80% of the power produced will be used by the school. The excess – weekends and school holidays – goes to the locality via the local grid network.
Northfleet School will also reduce their carbon emissions by over 59 tonnes a year. This was a great case study for the schools Environment Club as well as the judges of the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards were it won the elusive and impressive “Renewable Energy Project of the Year” award in 2020
“SAS ENERGY have been highly professional throughout the solar installation.
I am pleased to say the installation went smoothly without any disruption to the school.”
Facilities Manager, Northfleet School for Girls
“Developing a more environmental school through investing in solar power has been a great project that will really benefit the school. We are able to direct more funds from running the building to student support.
I hope that more schools are able to invest in such a way”
