PROJECT NORTHFLEET SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

SAS ENERGY designed, installed and maintains one of the UK’s largest secondary school rooftop solar PV system.

The school will save more than £ 17,000 p.a. on its energy bill as 80% of the power produced will be used by the school. The excess – weekends and school holidays – goes to the locality via the local grid network.

Northfleet School will also reduce their carbon emissions by over 59 tonnes a year. This was a great case study for the schools Environment Club as well as the judges of the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards were it won the elusive and impressive “Renewable Energy Project of the Year” award in 2020
