Managing Director

20 years experience including semi conduct engineering, commercial building projects to renewable energy engineering. Nick has worked with some major blue chip clients in America, Asia and Europe including Duracell, Intel, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Sharp, Philips and Thorne EMI Defence Systems as well as a significant number of small and medium sized companies. With Jon Dennis he founded Solar Advanced Systems in 2009 and has helped the company to grow into SAS Energy in order to help their clients install and maintain an increased range of renewable energies

Jon Dennis
Managing Director

Jon has worked from the ground-up in the heating and ventilation industry over the last 20 years. With a background in design, manufacture and install, Jon has extensive experience based knowledge of the industry. Like Nick he has a passion for renewable energy and runs the installation team at SAS Energy. Jon ensures that the projects run to time and budget whilst exceeding customer expectations.


Kevin Downes  
Managing Director – SAS Home Heat

With over 25 years in the renewable industry Kevin has a wealth of knowledge to draw from. Starting in the industry in 1991 as an installer of energy saving products and now in senior management Kevin views projects from all aspects.

Kevin has been involved in many large scale projects and still boasts about securing the highest single funding stream for a particular client. He has also worked across many sectors from local authorities and RSL’s to commercial organisations.  He is akeen advocate of commercial solar PV with an eye for detail…. you can be sure of a first rate client relationship.


Sandra Bowden
HR and Finance Manager

Sandra has worked in finance for 39 years, and in the construction industry for the last 15 years. She has also worked with Nick and Jon since the start of SAS Energy and with Nick for another 4 years in a previous company.

Sandra has helped the business grow from the start and implemented many of the systems and procedures in order to make sure the teams have what they want and need for our client’s projects.

Rob Murphy

Rob is an integral part of ensuring the company delivers a market leading service to its clients. He delivers first class turnkey solutions to all sectors, and in particular new  build. Rob has a proven track record of engaging and developing mutually beneficial and long lasting relationships with clients that embody trust.  He prides myself on always providing a high level service, whilst working in an open, honest and friendly manner

Stacey Stone
Senior Energy Consultant

Stacey started in renewable energy at E.ON, then went on to work at Mark Group, LYNXprojects and is now firmly established with SAS Energy. Stacey specialises in LA and public sector work but also has managed highly successful private sector projects such as Whitman Laboratories.

Nick Tree
Lead Designer

Nick has worked in the Building Services industry for 30+ years with Building Services consultants including Max Fordham, Slender Winter Partnership and Hoare Wootton Partnership.

Nick’s skill set does not stop at design but he also has great experience in estimating and pricing all the projects so he will be using all his experience when his team create the plans for your projects at SAS Energy.


Natasha Gee
Design Technician

Natasha produces detailed drawings and reports for SAS Energy’s consultants and clients. Her 16 years of experience, working and designing in the construction industry is highly relevant as at SAS Energy, the design team is an integral part of the overall project and client teams – making sure that SAS Energy delivers the best solution for the client.


Matthew Foster
Senior Project Manager

Mat is responsible for delivering projects from 1kW to large scale MW sites, arranging teams of engineers and electricians, hire and control of plant and machinery. Mat’s team also ensures that we are compliant with current CDM regulations, to deliver a safe working environment for staff, client, and the public. He liaises closely with the customer to ensure system design and installation, is installed with minimum or no disruption to the client’s current business, and is delivered within the agreed time frame, ensuring complete mutual satisfaction to all parties.

Ray B&W

Ray Pepperell
Project Manager

Ray has a wealth of knowledge and experience from starting  as a solar PV installer in 2010 to quickly managing projects for blue chip companies such as Ikea, B&Q, Kingfisher and Bentley Motors.

Ed Hussey

O&M Manager

Ed is one of our main connection points between SAS Energy project managers and the SAS Energy construction teams. His critical role ensures that the clients project has the right SAS Energy colleagues who have the right skills and products with them for the necessary work.

Paul Dooley

Paul is an Electrical/Mechanical Prototype Engineer of 20 years. He has worked in a wide range of high power/voltage installations in various disciplines – and has completed a 3 year course City & Guilds Electro – Technology.

Shane Bunn

A highly experienced and trained solar technician/electrician with experience from many varied and large commercial installations,  and O&M including inspection and testing to maximise the systems performance

Lucie Fillery

Office Manager

Having worked previously in the renewable industry Lucie is passionate about renewable energies. Lucie joined the company as a Sales Co-ordination Manager and still works closely with the sales teams helping them with tender submissions as well as organising office operations, procedures and company accreditations.

Alison Ells

Marketing Manager

Alison knows the power of the sun having lived in Australia until returning to the UK. Having helped many large corporate and SMBs with their marketing in the past as a Marketing Consultant, she is now using that experience to highlight SAS ENERGY’s projects through the right mediums – web, social media, print, exhibitions and film to reach the right audiences.
